She’s my “little” Annie. Being neighbours, we grew up together, went to the same playschool, school and even the studied in the same college and nearly graduated together. I say nearly because I took a one-year sabbatical to work under a master craftsman studying hand-made yachts.
After graduation she went on to do her masters in forensic science while I joined a premier yacht building yard in Florida – building yachts for the super-rich. The work was hard but the pay was good. My speciality being radar electronics.
Having attended a few yacht inauguration parties, I had many occasions to view the various accessories that rich men and women adorned themselves with. It was at one of these parties that I saw one fine lady wearing the Michael Kors Maci Quartz MK2790 Diamond Accent Women’s Watch.
Thanks to the orange incandescent light bulbs on the yacht, the jewellery worn by the ladies were sparkling extra fire and it was the sparkle of the diamonds on the watch that initially caught my attention. I moved slowly towards the lady to get a better look at the watch.
At that time, I had no idea which brand that watch was, nor did I dare ask. I however did manage to discreetly take a very good picture with my mobile phone. I uploaded the picture to Google images and it showed me similar photos. A perfect match was the Michael Kors Maci Quartz MK2790 Diamond Accent Women’s Watch.
The watch had large hard-to-miss raised roman numerals in gold and dainty watch hands also in gold. The diamonds, small and finely crafted maybe a hundred or so, were on the case – where the bezel would normally be. The retail price at this site: https://www.zetawatches.com/shop/michael-kors-maci-quartz-mk2790-diamond-accent-womens-watch/ was $197 but was marked down to $126.
They were offering an international warranty and the reviews were all good. The watch was awesome and so was the price. So, I bought the watch for my “little” Annie and would give it to her when we next met which was roughly in two weeks’ time when she came down from Boston where she worked with the FBI forensic lab.
The watch arrived in three days or so and I gave it one last look before gift wrapping it. The case is about 3.5 cm across, so the dial is quite large – which made it easy to ready the time. I also, noticed that up close, the large gold accentuated roman numerals were even more impressive. And then of course, were the hard-to-miss diamonds – sparkling like they had real fire in them.
The watch had a light pink pure leather strap that was just perfectly matched for the watch. The watch looked so good I would have gladly paid twice as much. What happened when my Annie came is a bit personal and besides the point. All I have to say, is that the Michael Kors Maci Quartz MK2790 Diamond Accent Women’s Watch is mind-blowing and a perfect gift for the women you love.
